You are here: Home > Conferences Atlanta 2008 TestimoniesDan - Detroit, MII'd been looking forward to bringing my son to [the Atlanta] conference for months now. We flew in from Detroit to be there. Last Saturday I took my Mom to the hospital because she was feeling dizzy. They told us she had tumors in her brain and lungs. By Wednesday, we were told it was Stage 4. My brothers and sisters arrived to care for her so I told my Momma I was still going to attend PK - not just for a time to plead for healing, but also for a time to worship God for all things including cancer. It was interesting that one of the first songs we sang had the words: You give and take awayThrough tears I sang those glorious words of our great God! God bless you guys! John - Mt. Pleasant, SCI just returned from the awesome and uplifting Atlanta event and I was truly blessed by all of the PK speakers and worship team.Becky - Birmingham, ALThank you, thank you, thank you for showing the web cast of the Atlanta PK convention. My husband is recovering from major surgery and was not able to attend it live. Our son from a neighboring town came and watched it with his dad and sang along with all the worship songs right with the men who were there! I had tears in my eyes as I sat in the other room and heard my men singing praises to the Lord. Please pass along our blessings to all who made it possible to put this program on the website. I encourage everyone to watch it as God will bless you right through your computer as He did to our family!! God bless Promise Keepers. [Editor's Note: View the archived webcast here.] Terry - Panama City, FLThe Atlanta conference was absolutely AMAZING. From the start, the praise and worship was AWESOME. I know God was loving having his boys worship Him with all of their might, all of their soul and all of their strength. It was great to see all of the guys - young and old alike - worshipping the Lord. The speakers were right on target, the salvation message by Mike Silva really hit home. He preached it with all of his heart and soul in it. Then Josh McDowell started the "feast of the word" that continued into Saturday. I was fed by every speaker. It was great to see Coach Mac again, he really fed us at the end. I have to admit I thought about not going to the conference this year but now I am glad that I did. It was exactly what I needed to recharge my batteries. Pastor Tim - North CarolinaI am a pastor in North Carolina and was greatly blessed to have three of the men from our church attended the Atlanta event at a local church via the webcast. Each of these men were encouraged and challenged by the weekend. The host church provided a great venue to participate in the event and we praise God for the opportunity. The men are already looking forward to the next PK event. Casey - Alabaster, ALI just got back home from the Atlanta conference. This was my first PK conference. I thoroughly enjoyed the fellowship of brothers in worship. The speakers were well prepared and complimented each other. Cleto was a great relief from the exhausting praise and teaching sessions. I responded to many of the provoking truths that were exhorted. I will retain the 3 B’s and the 3 categories of temptations. I am leading a Men’s Fraternity study in my home church and I feel that these sessions will help me in this area. I realize that I don’t have to be worried about being such a weak vessel, but that I need to utilize my brothers in Christ more to become a better husband and father. My wife will benefit from my time spent there. Paul - Florence, SCMy
group and I are still riding the high from the Atlanta PK event.
Great vinue, great speakers, great music, GREAT GOD! We took 15 guys from
Ebenezer Baptist Church in Florence SC
and every one was touched. This was even better than last year and we can't wait
til next year. We are carrying this over to our service to the church and our
families and good things are to come. Thanks to Bishop Long for having us at his
church. The building was almost as beautiful as the people. Michael - Grenada, MSThis was our second PK conference and it was awesome. We could actually feel the presence of our LORD in the church as soon as we walked in. Great job, PK! Another memorable event. Special thanks to Bishop Eddie Long for letting us use his wonderful church. We're already excited and looking forward to next year for another PK Conference. Shannon - Lexington, ALWe took 10 men from our church to Promise Keepers in Atlanta. This was my 4th PK event but it was the first for the rest of my group. God was there in Atlanta!!!! What an amazing experience! Chad - Forest City, NCThis year's PK event in Atlanta was awesome! This was the first one that I've ever been able to attend with my dad and brother. All the speakers were great. Larry Jackson really hit me hard. The worship music was great. I love the new song, "Speak, Oh Lord." I can say that if you didn't feel the presence of God there you really didn't open your heart. I can really say for the first time I felt as if God was sitting right there with us. I'm looking forward the day I can bring my son to one. Keep on keepin' on. Let's roll. One more thing - it is hard to be a man but someone's got to do it. Thank you, Bishop Eddie Long, for letting us use your beautiful church. May God bless you.
