Why is there not a conference in my city or region?

We realize that there is a disappointment when Promise Keepers does not return to your city or region after a previous event there. It is important to remember that many cities have never been given the opportunity to experience PK events firsthand, and for years men from these cities have loaded into buses to make the trek to the nearest Promise Keepers conference—often traveling for many hours. We would like to help you understand the reasons for Promise Keeper’s conference schedule this year.

There are several factors that affect which cities are chosen. Prayer is crucial in the site selection process. It covers the men and women involved in the decisions being made, as well as the cities being selected. Promise Keepers desires to hold conferences where God and the men are working together to create an environment of faith and reconciliation. Once certain cities are selected as feasible sites we begin working with venues to determine the dates and finances of hosting an event. Often dates are unavailable due to other activities, or the cost exceeds what we believe we can spend while maintaining our financial integrity. We also must have a venue in the area that is large enough to support a PK conference.

We are excited for the way the Lord continues to use Promise Keepers in men’s lives across the country in different locations. We invite you to register and travel to one of the other conference cities nearest you this year. Road trips are a great way to build relationships with other men.
