Are there any plans for a PK for women?

Promise Keepers has received many requests to begin a similar group for women. However, since our beginning in 1990, Promise Keepers has been committed to the Lord's specific calling for this ministry. According to our mission statement: "Promise Keepers is a Christ-centered ministry dedicated to uniting men through vital relationships to become godly influences in their world."

We truly appreciate the number of women who have expressed their desire for this ministry to address women's issues in a manner similar to our focus on men. While Promise Keepers seeks to stand true to our mission statement, this does not mean that we seek to disavow issues of importance to today's Christian women.

At the heart of our ministry is the belief that historically men have consistently had problems living up to the role to which God has called them. Promise Keepers is committed to fulfilling this unique need by instructing and equipping men to become men of integrity: men who are accountable to God and their brothers, men who are committed to their wives, families, and churches, and men who are willing to make a difference for Christ. It is the unique focus of our ministry to press on toward this goal until God guides our movement elsewhere.

We feel that by creating the all-male setting in which our conferences take place, men are more apt to be receptive to the full instruction of the sessions. As a result, one of the primary goals of each conference is to deepen the commitment of men to respect and honor women. One of the most rewarding aspects of working for this ministry is hearing of the awesome things God is doing in the lives of men and women.

As one woman who wrote to us expressed, "I knew that all of the spiritual benefits my husband received at Promise Keepers would overflow to me. How could they not? Is not his honor my honor? His integrity my integrity? Are not his blessings my blessings?"

Promise Keepers ultimately seeks to lift up both men and women through our ministry. It is our prayer that God's work will continue and be multiplied in the lives of all our brothers and sisters in Christ.
